Kindness Project

The #KindnessProject was developed by the Williams family and it's purpose is simply to give back to the communities that have been so very good to our company and our employees over the past twenty five years.

As a team, Mt. Orab Chevrolet comes up with new and exciting ideas to make someone's day. Sometimes the gesture is large and sometimes it's small but if it makes an impact on a person's day, we chalk it up as a win! Below you will see a few of the "missions" that we have caught on camera. We hope it brings some joy to your day!

Candy, Cars & Community: Trunk or Treat 2025!

At Mark Williams Auto Group, community is the heart of everything we do. This fall, our dealerships once again opened their doors for our annual Trunk or Treat celebrations, bringing together families, friends, and neighbors from across southern Ohio. The events at both Mt. Orab and Beechmont reflected what we value most: connection, kindness, and the shared pride that comes from being part of something bigger than ourselves.

What started as a small way to give local families a safe and exciting place to celebrate Halloween has grown into a cherished tradition that captures the spirit of who we are. The parking lots at Mark Williams Auto Group were transformed into lively spaces filled with creative costumes, decorated trunks, and the laughter of children. More than just a night of fun, Trunk or Treat has become a meaningful reminder that when people come together, wonderful things happen.

Local Heroes Join the Celebration

Our Mt. Orab Trunk or Treat was made even more special thanks to the presence of the Mt. Orab Fire Department and Mt. Orab Police Department. These local heroes dedicate themselves to protecting and serving our town every day. Families had the opportunity to meet the firefighters and police officers, explore emergency vehicles, and learn more about the work these men and women do to keep our community safe. Their involvement was a highlight of the evening, offering children an up-close look at real life heroes and giving parents a sense of pride in the people who serve our town.

At our Beechmont event, we were honored to welcome the Union Township Fire Department, whose team brought enthusiasm, kindness, and a strong sense of community spirit. Their participation reminded everyone how important it is to celebrate those who give so much of themselves to keep others safe.

Ag-Pro of Georgetown Showcases Community Strength

Another highlight of the Mt. Orab celebration was the participation of Ag-Pro of Georgetown, one of the leading agricultural suppliers in the region. Ag-Pro brought an impressive display of John Deere tractors and equipment that fascinated children and parents alike. Their team shared insights about the essential role agriculture plays in our community and how they support local farmers throughout the year. The presence of Ag-Pro added an important local touch, connecting guests to the values of

The Cincinnati Ghostbusters Bring Movie Magic

The Cincinnati Ghostbusters team brought incredible excitement to both our Mt. Orab and Beechmont locations. Their authentic costumes, iconic Ecto-1 vehicle, and enthusiasm lit up the evening. Guests of all ages were thrilled to meet them, take photos, and relive the nostalgia of a beloved movie. Beyond the fun, the Cincinnati Ghostbusters use their love for films to raise awareness and funds for community causes. Their participation at Trunk or Treat was a perfect example of how creativity and generosity can come together to make people smile.

The Haunted Trailer Delivers Halloween Thrills

Every Halloween needs a good scare, and the Haunted Trailer provided exactly that. Families lined up to experience this creative, family-friendly attraction that combined spooky fun with plenty of laughter. It became one of the most talked-about features of the night and reminded everyone that Halloween is about imagination and community joy.

Supporting Local Animal Shelters

Our events also focused on giving back to organizations that make a real difference. At Mt. Orab, the Brown County Animal Shelter joined us to share their mission of rescuing and rehoming animals in need. At Beechmont, we were proud to host the Clermont County Animal Shelter, whose dedicated team helps countless pets find loving families each year. Guests had the chance to learn about adoption, volunteering, and how small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact. It was heartwarming to see families engaging with these organizations and showing support for their important work.

Coffee, Treats, and Sweet Memories

No community celebration would be complete without great food and drinks, and this year’s Trunk or Treat had plenty to offer. Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck was a crowd favorite at both locations, serving handcrafted drinks that perfectly matched the crisp autumn weather. Guests enjoyed warm coffee, espresso, and seasonal lattes while mingling with neighbors and visiting each trunk.

At our Beechmont event, Kona Ice joined in with refreshing shaved ice treats that added a splash of color and fun to the evening. Children and adults alike lined up to enjoy their favorite flavors while celebrating the season.

Raising Cane’s and Quality Comfort and Home Services also partnered with us at Beechmont, contributing to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the event such a success. Their commitment to community involvement reflects the same values we hold dear at Mark Williams Auto Group.

Promoting Inclusion with EmPath for Autism

We were proud to welcome EmPath for Autism to both events. This local organization is dedicated to empowering individuals with autism and providing support for their families. Their participation helped raise awareness about inclusion and acceptance, and many guests took time to learn about their programs and services. EmPath for Autism’s mission aligns perfectly with our belief that every member of our community deserves understanding and opportunity.

A Special Thank You to Sam’s Club

Our Trunk or Treat celebrations would not have been possible without the generous support of Sam’s Club. Their team provided candy, supplies, and assistance that helped make both events a success. Their ongoing partnership is a great example of how businesses can work together to create positive experiences for local families.

A Night to Remember

As the evening came to an end, the twinkling lights, laughter, and smiles told the story of another successful year. The Mark Williams Auto Group Trunk or Treat events were more than just festive gatherings; they were celebrations of unity and appreciation. Watching children show off their costumes, parents enjoying time with friends, and local businesses and organizations working side by side was a powerful reminder of what makes our communities so special.

At Mark Williams Auto Group, we are committed to being more than a place to buy a car. We are a part of the neighborhoods we serve. Whether it is Mt. Orab, Beechmont, or beyond, we will continue to support the people and organizations that make southern Ohio such a wonderful place to live and work.

To everyone who joined us, volunteered, or partnered with us this year, thank you for helping make Trunk or Treat 2025 unforgettable. Your enthusiasm and kindness are what keep our community strong. We are already looking forward to next year, when we can once again bring together families, local heroes, and community partners for a celebration of everything that makes this region so special.

Mark Williams Auto Group Brings Kindness to Families in Need

For the team at Mark Williams Auto Group, community involvement is part of who we are. Through our Kindness Project, we’re committed to turning compassion into action. Each dealership participates in activities that support local families and strengthen community ties.

Our latest effort took us to the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati, where several of our employees volunteered to prepare, cook, and serve meals for 171 families. Volunteers including Jeff Fithen, Ken Haynes, Josh Williams, Charlie Watson, David Godbey, and Bob Galvin worked together to ensure every guest received a warm meal and a warm welcome. When the meal service wrapped up, the team stayed to clean the dining room and kitchen, leaving the space ready for the next group.

Why We Serve

The Kindness Project started as a company-wide initiative to help us stay connected to what truly matters helping others. From organizing food drives to participating in school programs, our goal has always been to spread goodwill in meaningful ways. Volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House gave us another opportunity to continue that mission and support families during a challenging time.

About Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House offers a place of rest and comfort for families whose children are being treated at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The House provides home-cooked meals, safe accommodation, and an uplifting environment where parents can focus on their child’s recovery without worrying about daily essentials.

Looking Ahead

Serving at the Ronald McDonald House reminded our team that kindness multiplies when shared. We left with a deeper appreciation for the families we met and a renewed commitment to serving others. The Kindness Project will continue throughout the year, bringing new ways for our dealerships to give back and make a difference.

Mt. Orab Ford Takes a Stand Against Hunger During Ford’s Global Care Month

At Mt. Orab Ford, we believe that real change begins at home. In September, we stepped up in a big way as part of a worldwide initiative to tackle food insecurity during Ford’s Global Care Month.

Thousands of Ford dealerships united in a massive effort to collect over one million pounds of food for families in need. Each dealership pledged to collect at least 400 pounds, and we’re proud to partner with IPM Food Pantry, a trusted local organization that’s been serving our region for six decades. Founded by four community churches, IPM continues to provide vital food assistance and support for neighbors facing tough times.

Our team was busy collecting non-perishable goods that will go straight to families in our area. Any donation, big or small, can make a real impact.

Together, across our area, we were able to collect non-perishable items to support families in need in our own communities. Every donation matters from one can to a packed truck, and we were honored to help drive positive change.

Let’s fight hunger together right here in Mt. Orab.

Hosting Sensory Toy Drive for ABC Pediatric Therapy | Mt. Orab Ford

Sensory Toy Drive – As a dealer group, we partnered with ABC Pediatrics to host a Sensory Toy Drive, delivering essential sensory toys to underserved children with autism across our community. These toys provide comfort, stimulation, and joy to kids who need them most, and we're proud to support families in creating more inclusive, enriching environments. Our Kindness Project originally launched in 2018 has allowed us to spread kindness in countless ways. We partnered with ... the EmPath for Autism Foundation and ABC Pediatric Therapy for a meaningful cause: a Sensory Toy Drive. Our goal was simple—to collect sensory toys for children who are affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Sensory toys are designed to stimulate a child’s senses of sight, sound, and touch, providing valuable therapeutic benefits. These toys play an essential role in supporting the sensory systems of children with Autism, helping them improve focus, calmness, and communication. Our partnership with EmPath for Autism Foundation has been incredibly special. EmPath, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was created to support children and families affected by Autism. We’re also excited to sponsor their annual fundraiser, Circus Bizircus Lunar, which took place on September 21st in Covington, KY. The proceeds from this event benefitted the Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital—an incredible cause that we’re honored to support.

ABC Pediatric Therapy, a fantastic therapy center located in Cincinnati’s Western Hills, was instrumental in ensuring that the sensory toys we collected made it to the children who needed them most. ABC offers a range of pediatric therapies in a child-friendly setting, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Their dedication to creating the best life for all children aligns perfectly with our mission of supporting families and improving quality of life.

Over the course of two weeks, we hosted collection points at our dealership locations, and thanks to the help of our team, customers, and supporters, we were able to gather a substantial number of sensory toys. At the end of the drive, the Williams family personally delivered an entire SUV-load of toys to ABC Pediatric Therapy for distribution to local families in need. At the Mark Williams Automotive Group, we’re proud to work alongside the EmPath for Autism Foundation and ABC Pediatric Therapy to bring awareness to the importance of sensory toys, therapy, and the potential role of cannabis in supporting children with Autism. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community and are honored to be part of The Kindness Project. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause, and we look forward to continuing to spread kindness together.

Toy Drive 2022 - Mt. Orab Ford

Toy Drive 2022: This holiday season, we teamed up with Toys for Tots to help bring smiles to children throughout our community. Thanks to the generosity of our customers and staff, we collected and donated hundreds of toys, making the holidays a little brighter for families in need. Toys for Tots is a charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve with the mission of collecting new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year and distributing them as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the communities where the campaigns are conducted. Founded in 1947 ...by Major Bill Hendrick’s, U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in Los Angeles, California. The idea came about when Major Hendricks's wife, Diane, tried to donate a homemade doll to a charitable organization but couldn’t find one that distributed toys to children during the holidays. In response, Hendricks and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys that year, starting what would become a national movement.

Due to the overwhelming success, the U.S. Marine Corps adopted the program in 1948, expanding it nationwide.

Kindness Project 2020 - Spreading Kindness, One Cart at a Time! Leslie Williams recently took a trip to a local Kroger during the holidays and surprised a shopper by covering the cost of their groceries—just one small way we’re giving back and brightening someone’s day. It was a heartwarming reminder that even simple gestures can make a big impact!

The Giving Tree Located in Our Service Department!

The Giving Tree 2018 – At Mark Williams Automotive Group, we believe in the power of community and the joy of giving back. That’s why we’re proud to make seasons brighter with our giving tree—a simple, heartfelt way to make a meaningful difference during ...the holiday season.

When you stop by our Service Department, you’ll see our festive Giving Tree adorned with tags, each representing a gift wish from a local child or family in need. #KindnessProject2018

Kindness Project 2018 – In November 2018, Leslie Williams and Charlie Watson visited our local Kroger store with one simple mission: to find someone who could use a little extra support and give them a Thanksgiving they’d never forget. That day, we approached a random shopper and surprised them by paying for their entire cart full of groceries—no strings attached.

What made this moment so special wasn’t just the surprise—it was what the groceries represented. A full cart meant a full table. It meant a family could gather, share a warm meal, and enjoy the holiday without worrying about financial strain. In that moment, we weren’t just paying for food; we were helping provide comfort, dignity, and the joy that comes from simply being able to feed your family.

Today, we support the Clermont Animal Shelter!

Clermont Animal Care Humane Society 2018 – We partnered with the Clermont Animal Care Humane Society to raise $50,000 in 50 hours – The long-term goal is to reduce population on the streets so we can reduce the amount of animals euthanized each year. We also helped them acquire their 2018 Ford F-150 for their dog warden to help rescue animals off the street and to transport animals to from clinics for spay/neuter which ultimately helps with population control further reducing animals euthanized.
